Yes, I really wood
Wednesday, March 11th, 2009One thing I really love to do is to chop firewood. Every year we about two cords of wood as it can be a long winter and we like to save money on the heating bill. I always go to a local farm called The Hunt Club to get the wood. We have been dealing with them for years and have always been satisfied. They always give the option as to split or unsplit. That’s a no-brainer!
There is something about splitting wood that makes me happy. It’s hard to explain how good a feeling I get when the axe comes down and the wood just pops open! Since I’ve been doing it for years, I have become experienced at how and where to strike to produce the required result.
Sometimes if I’ve had a rough day, I will “Go to town” on some wood and always feel a little better for it. Gotta go, I have some stacking to do!!
