Waiting Rooms
Tuesday, March 17th, 2009I had occasion to deal with a certain government agency today in order to obtain some paperwork I needed for my business. The appointment was set for ten-thirty. Knowing from past experience with this agency, I realized it would be unlikely for them to be as careful about being on time as I am. Even after being mentally prepared for some delay, I was not prepared for the long wait I endured.
It must be nice to work for the government. It seems to me that whatever branch of government you deal with, they are always slow. If I kept my customers waiting the way they do me, I’d be out of business quick! I could understand if it happened every once in a while, but every time? I think I’ll start coming an hour late, that way they may be ready for me when I get there!
