Welcome to the family

Monday, April 20th, 2009

We have a new addition to our family. A brand new little kitty named Ziggy. He was born on January 19 and is cute as a button. He is mostly white and has some brown markings all over. He is a bundle of energy and loves to play all day! We have gotten out all of our kitty toys and he plays with them all.

He can be so funny. He loves to climb and when he gets tired, he falls asleep on the spot. He doesn’t like to be left alone and he cries when we leave the room. We had fun taking pictures and videos of him at play. I am sure he will fit in with the family well!

I’m Feeling Better

Monday, April 20th, 2009

As the man of the house I feel a certain obligation to protect my family. I’m not always around when I want to be there. This leaves my daughter alone sometimes and I don’t like that at all. There are many bad people in the world and you never know who they will target. I would never forgive myself if something happened that I could have prevented.

I was checking out my house from the angle of Home Security. I was looking into how secure the doors and windows were. Even though the house looks pretty good, I would like the comfort of knowing I have one of those Home Security Systems. I am skilled in many trades, but I don’t have any know-how in this field. I wanted to have some expert advice and I was lucky to find some.

I set up an appointment to see a representative and was surprised to learn that I had overlooked some things. It’s good to have someone who knows what they are talking about to give advice. In the end, I protected my house with an ADT Security System. Now I feel a lot better when I’m not around and it is worth every penny I paid!

Turtle Talk!

Monday, April 20th, 2009

As I have described the pond behind our house before, I am sure you are familiar with it. I started by feeding the ducks and really do enjoy it. After that, I started in with the birds. Now I have some new friends who like to see me coming. The Turtles, there are at least four or five turtles who stay in our pond. They are not much to watch as they don’t do a whole lot, but it is fun to see them float around with their heads stuck out of the water.

I was fishing in the pond and noticed that the turtles were checking me out. They came a little closer and were giving me the eye. I remained still so as not to scare them off. After awhile, I went back in the house and got some bread. I waited till the turtles dived and would sneak to the spot where they were. I sat still and tore a small piece of bread. I threw some of the bread near the shore and to my surprise; the turtle came slowly out of the water to get it.

The turtles are very weary of humans so it is important to remain still. I was glad to see the turtle so close up. They are very beautiful creatures and I was happy to be able to get a good view of him. They snatch the bread and hurry back to the safety of the water. Then they dive down and have their meal. I hope I will be able to repeat the performance and keep my new friends fat!

A Second Opinion

Monday, April 20th, 2009

We were all excited to hear that some people from our office would be selected to go on a trip. We all had visions of sweet summer breezes and tropical beaches. Little did we know that we were going to a Wisconsin conference center. I must say that I was a little disappointed when I found out. Whoever thought of Wisconsin as a vacation resort? Nevertheless, I packed up my suitcase and readied myself for whatever may come.

The trip went well and soon we arrived. I was amazed to see that the conference center we had come to was really very nice. I was to speak to a very large crowd and was a little nervous. Many of the bigwigs from our company would be there and I wanted to make a good impression. I was to speak before the dinner. It went as well as I could hope and with relief I sat down.

Now that my part was done, I could enjoy the dinner. It was fantastic! The food was catered by a company named Divians, and it was great. They didn’t miss a thing. Everything was thought of beforehand and there were no problems at all. In the end, I was glad to have come to such a wonderful place. My opinion of Wisconsin is completely different than before. Next time, I will think of this trip before I moan about where we are going!

A new Windows

Monday, April 20th, 2009

According to the latest buzz, the world will get a glimpse of the latest version of Windows this October. The company plans to release a trail version that will be used to develop the new system. Everybody will have some input and plans are being made to release the mainstream version sometime in 2010.

I certainly hope things will go better than they did with Vista. I especially hope they improve the systems compatibility with other software. I know they will have a whole bunch of bells and whistles, but I surly hope they develop something that works!
I say good luck to you Microsoft.
