A new Windows

Monday, April 20th, 2009

According to the latest buzz, the world will get a glimpse of the latest version of Windows this October. The company plans to release a trail version that will be used to develop the new system. Everybody will have some input and plans are being made to release the mainstream version sometime in 2010.

I certainly hope things will go better than they did with Vista. I especially hope they improve the systems compatibility with other software. I know they will have a whole bunch of bells and whistles, but I surly hope they develop something that works!
I say good luck to you Microsoft.

Busy Bee…

Monday, April 20th, 2009

Let’s face it; we live in a busy world. There never seems to be enough time in the day. When my girlfriend Linda wanted to go back to school to finish her education, we didn’t know how to find the time for her to do that. We couldn’t afford to lose her income and there is no college anywhere close to our house. That’s why we started to investigate the option of an online school. The ability to study at home in her spare time was an attractive selling point for her. The next thing to do was to decide which school to enroll in.

With so many schools online, it seemed impossible to find the right one for her. Luckily, we found a website called allonlineschools.com, which allowed us to compare the degrees offered by the different schools. We were able to quickly narrow down our choice for her school to just two. Once we made our final decision, we were glad it was so easy.

Now Linda is busier than ever, but she is happy to be getting her education finished. She has learned to balance her time between work, home, and school. It won’t be long until her graduation and another plaque hangs on our wall!

Is our water clean?

Monday, April 20th, 2009

I was concerned to hear news about the potential threats to our water supply. Apparently, there are many things in our water that are not tested for and the effects on humans are unknown. While I am not against manufacturers, I do believe they have some responsibility to ensure their by products don’t pollute our waters.

I hope the government will continue to investigate the matter further. I don’t want my kids to suffer from something that we take for granted to be safe. I think our nation must begin to put more effort into keeping our world as clean as possible. We must think about the effects we have on future generations!
