Feeling Protected
As the man of the house, sometimes I feel a great responsibility. I know that whatever happens, I must take care of my family. That means getting up every day and going to work. Even when I don’t feel like it, I do it anyway so that the money will keep coming in. There are many other things I do as well. Like making sure that I don’t drive drunk and taking care of my health.
There are also other ways to make sure my family will be set in case something happens to me. I recently took out some mortgage life insurance. That way, if I die for any reason, the mortgage on the house will be paid. I wanted to be sure my little girl will not have to move from the place she grew up in just because something happened to me. That’s why I wanted to have mortgage protection. I thought that it will hard enough for her to deal with my passing without having to relocate as well.
That was all well and good to have if I died, but I got to thinking what would happen if I didn’t die. What if I only got hurt? In that case, I decided to invest in mortgage disability insurance. That would provide a means for the bills to paid I f I could not work for a time while I recovered. There are so many things that we must consider when thinking of the future.
Now that I was assured that the mortgage would be paid if I went to heaven, I was thinking that there are other bills to deal with as well. I felt that getting term life insurance would be beneficial in adding another layer of financial protection for my loved ones. Receiving a cash benefit after my death would ensure my family didn’t have to worry about having enough cash on hand for whatever came up.
Of all the things I worry about on a day to day basis, it is good that I was able to find a little peace of mind in this one area. I sure hope the day I’m gone is long in coming, but if it is not, it will be a little less painful that it could be.
