Saving the day!

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong, that’s Murphy’s Law and it has happened to us. We had a very important project we were working on at our office. After a month of hard work, we were nearly done. This job was for one of our most important clients and we really wanted to do a good job. As soon as we were ready for the next phase, that’s when disaster struck! The hard drive that contained the bulk of our hard won data failed.

Naturally, there was a major panic and no one seemed to have the answer to the problem. Much of the information on the drive could not be replaced. That’s when a thought occurred to me. Somewhere in the back of my mind I remembered hearing something about Data Recovery. I quickly went online and looked it up. Once I found the diskdoctors.net website, I knew I had found the answer. We shipped our drive to them and had an estimate on the recovery by the end of the day.

There was a big sigh of relief around the office when we heard they were successful. They must have worked around the clock to complete the job so quickly. With our valuable information back in our possession, we were able to finish the project on time and did quite well. We sent our many thanks to disk doctors for saving the day!

Trading for Animals

Monday, April 27th, 2009

It seems that some countries are cracking down on the wild animal trade. I am glad to hear it. Recently, the country of Bahrain announced that it will provide an amnesty for wild animal owners who turn in their pets. There have been many problems when these animals are raised and then escape or are turned loose.

Some of these animals can be quite dangerous. Reports of alligators and sometimes even wild cats on the loose have caused a panic. I certainly think that protecting the earth’s wild animal population is a worthy cause and should be supported by all governments. I hope everyone will join with me and the many others who support this effort!

Fixing the broken!

Monday, April 27th, 2009

I was talking with an old friend of mine named Shawn. He was telling me about the problems he was having with his credit history. It seems that he got behind on his bills and missed some payments, so now he is paying the price. He told me about his difficulty finding credit cards for people with bad credit. I told him not to give up just yet and that there are still ways to get what he needs.

I know there are companies that offer credit cards for bad credit. There are many companies who will do this, but he would have to select the right one for him. Getting a credit card will help your credit. But if you are not careful about paying it on time, you can actually hurt your credit score. I told Shawn to ask about bad credit credit cards. By taking advantage of this type of card, he could go far towards fixing the problem.

The last thing I told him was that he needed to take his finances seriously. The ability to access credit is an important part of your fiscal planning. I know that with a little work, Shawn will be able to bring up his score. I wish him the best and I have full confidence that he will achieve his goal.

I was working in a building the other day. I noticed a man on the elevator who was taking a large electrical cabinet downstairs. I asked what he was going to do with it. He told me it was headed for the trash. I asked if I could have it and he said sure.

We loaded it right into my car. To my surprise, he had a lot more to come. They were replacing an outdated telephone system. I went home and unloaded my prize. I turned a few screws, and separated the circuit boards out from the wire and metal. The next day, I went to the scrap yard. I was happy to find that I had made $70. Not a bad job!

Another Example

I have a cousin who lives in Chicago. His name is Steve and he works as an industrial electrician. He was recently hurt on the job and had problems with paying the bills that he incurred. He finally had to resort to getting a Chicago workers compensation attorney, to help with the legal aspect of his case.

He was glad he did. In the end, not only did he receive compensation for the medical bills, he also got some back pay and a settlement. Steve will be back at work soon and I am glad he is well. This is just another example of how it always pays to seek professional legal advice when you have an accident or injury.
