Making Life Easy!

Monday, May 4th, 2009

Since it is closing in on Mother’s day, I thought I would mention one of the things we have in mind for her. Mom recently moved to Florida to enjoy her retirement. She does have some trouble getting around so we thought it would be nice to get her a walkin tub. I know this will be a good idea as it will be much easier for her to bathe.

I worry about Mom living alone. Anything I can do to make her life easier will make me feel more comfortable. I glad I am able to present her with this gift and I know she will be happy with it. There is no price to high to pay for the comfort of mind knowing she will be safe!

A Busy day!

Every weekend when the weather is nice, our neighborhood seems to be alive with activity. Since it was so nice this weekend, it was also the case. My neighbor across the street was busy mowing and trimming his lawn. He took quite awhile but the results were good. The kids made good use of this time as well. They shouted and screamed as they played all manner of games and generally made a racket!

Not to be left out, we joined in the fun as well. I worked in the garden and around the house in general. My next door neighbor was working on his car. He seemed to have it fixed and running by the end of the day. All in all, it was a very busy day for everyone involved. Tomorrow is Sunday, so I hope we can all rest a bit!!

A Mother’s Day gift

Monday, May 4th, 2009

Every year, the month of May reminds us of our mothers. I am always thinking of my mom throughout the year of course, but May is the time when she has her special day. This year is the first year that mom has been in Florida for mothers day. It will be difficult not being able to see her as we usually do. I wanted to do something special for her so that she won’t feel so alone.

The first thing I knew was that I would send her flowers. She has always liked them a lot and I think they brighten up the house. I seem to remember that she likes Tulips, so I decided to send her some of those. I really wanted to make this year special so I am going to send an Azalea plant as well. That would remind her of this day throughout the year.

Since mom has retired and moved away, we don’t get to see her as often as we like. That’s why I wanted to be sure that she knows how much we love her. I think flowers are a great way to do that. I really hope that mom will have a wonderful day and will enjoy the gifts we sent.
