My Garage

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

Whenever we have visitors, the first thing I like to show them is my garage. It’s my favorite part of the house. I spend a lot of my time there. Admittedly, sometimes I am forced to take refuge there from my wife when she is not pleased by my antics, but that’s a whole other story…

I am very particular about where things are in my garage and how they are stored and like to have a place for everything and everything in its place. I take great pride in all the things that are kept there and like to be able to get what I need when I need it. If a tool or a part is needed, I want to be able to get it without fumbling around trying to find it.

My neighbor treats his garage like a dump. Everything is all jumbled up and he swears he has it all, but he never can find it. I guess that’s why he is always coming over to borrow my stuff! I’ll be writing more about my garage as I add to my page. Stay tuned!!

Starting a New Thing!

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

With the internet taking off these days, there are many people who want to start websites. My friend Henry wants to start a site as well. He is an able pool player and wants to promote his line of pool accessories. We talked about the various ways he should go about doing this. I told him that an important part of a good website is the web design that it uses. I had a good suggestion for him as well.

I informed him that there was a company who had a lot of experience in this area. They are called webfullcircle.com and they are an outstanding company in the area of website design . After our talk, Henry reported back to me that he had taken advantage of this company’s expertise in their field. He is now the proud owner of a really cool site that promotes his business effectively. I am glad to know that I was able to help and wish him the very best with his new enterprise!

The Grocery Store

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

With the large size family that we have, it’s not hard to run up a big bill at the grocery store. I must admit though, even I was surprised at how we spent this week. It started out as a normal trip to the store. We had a list that we had made and a few coupons as well. The big mistake we made was to bring the whole family.

By the time we all got what we wanted, the cart was full to overflowing. I should have kept a better eye on how much we had bought. I think it was the frozen food section that did us in. it seems that you can run up quite a bill in that part of the store! I hope that we will have enough food to last for awhile. My wallet certainly does not want to repeat that scenario!

Free mulch

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

I was looking on Craig’s list today. This fellow had ordered too much mulch so he wanted to give away the rest. His loss was my gain, so I did a quick map quest, grabbed a shovel, and was on my way.

Having a pickup truck has a lot of great benefits. There is no way I could have transported the mulch in a car. I love to be able to just take off and know that I can move just about anything I want. It’s a wonderful tool and has made me a lot on money over the years. I love my truck!
