Lost Kitten Found

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Over the last few days, we have discovered a lost kitten hanging around our house. It seems that whenever we open the door, the kitten is there. I gave him a little food since it seems that he was hungry. I guess that was a big mistake, now the cat won’t go away. We asked some of the local neighbors if they knew who’s cat it was, but have not yet found the owners.

We went and made some signs from poster board and hung them up around our neighborhood. As of yet, we haven’t had any calls. I hope that whoever owns this beautiful animal will want to get their pet back! I sure hope that it will all turn out ok in the end. I don’t want to see this animal destroyed like so many others!!

Rethinking your Options!

Monday, May 11th, 2009

In this day and age, one of the most important things to have is a good credit card. There are occasions though, when people need to change their credit card company or rethink their credit options. It can be a tough decision to do so, but we all have to make hard decisions at times. One thing I wanted to point out was the various options for doing so.

There are many companies that have tightened the rules. There are still some companies that will allow you switch cards with 0 apr balance transfers. This is an important part of helping to save you money as well as keeping your credit line in good standing. Whenever you are able to take advantage of this situation, it can result in a substantial savings for the card owner. One good site to do this is called www.smartbalencetransfers.com.

Whenever you are not sure about what action you should take, it is always wise to read up on the credit card terms that are available on many sites. It is always wise to know what you are talking about when dealing with important financial decisions. I hope that everyone will take the time necessary to find out the facts about their financial future and make sure they are on the right path!

National Nurses Week

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Each year in May, the world celebrates the holiday of National Nurses Week. Originally started back in 1953 when President Eisenhower received a proposal from the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare’s Dorothy Sutherland, wanting to proclaim a day in October as Nurse Day. Even though the declaration was not made, it led to the eventual celebration of a day in May.

Now celebrated on May 12 because it was Florence Nightingales birthday, the world shows its appreciation to nurses around the globe. Anyone who has ever been to the hospital knows the importance of Nurses. Their care and knowledge helps to save lives and also increases the welfare of their patients. I wanted to send out a big thank you from me and my family to this dedicated group of professionals.
