Where’s George?

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

As it happened that I received a one dollar bill as change today, I noticed that it was marked. After reading what it said, I went home to check it out. I went to a site called wheresgeorge.com and entered the serial number of the bill. I entered the series number as well. I entered my zip code and submitted the information. A list of the places the bill had been popped up.

The bill seems to have originated in Virginia Beach and was first there last April. I found and entered the bill in May. I think I will soon spend the bill and check back in a couple of months to see where it’s gone. It seems the site was created to track the natural flow of money throughout the world. I like the idea and will be interested to see what happens next.

Life on the Road!

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

Life can be very stressful at times. Each day when I go to work I do many things that I don’t enjoy. When I come home, it seems that there are many more tasks that need to be done. After a while, I get so stressed out that I need to take a break. That’s when I usually take a ride on my motorcycle. Whenever I’m riding, all my troubles seem to fade away. It’s nice to know that I can just ride and bring everything back into focus.

That’s why when it comes to my bike; nothing is too good for it. I insist on having the best things I can buy. When it was time for me to purchase motorcycle vests, I wanted to have the top quality leather that would protect me from the cold in addition to looking my best. For the same reason, I also looked into purchasing German motorcycle helmets so that when I ride, people will know that I am a true freedom lover.

When my wife finally got her bike, we decided to go on a trip. I knew that it would be necessary to buy motorcycle saddlebags for the journey. The ability to carry the things we would need was paramount. Last month, we were able to enjoy a great trip to Tennessee and back. We had a good visit with my wife’s family and enjoyed the scenery along the way. I will always be glad to have had that memory and I hope that everyone else will be able to enjoy the same great experience that we shared!

Congrats!!

I wanted to take a little time to welcome home my cousin “Chip” from his three year deployment overseas. Chip joined the navy and has been to many ports throughout the world. He has finally made it home and we are all glad that he is safe. When Chip arrived, we had a great welcoming home party for him. Almost the whole family was there as he stepped off the boat for the final time.

The days in the service has done Chip a great deal of good. He was known to be a little troublesome as a teen and now has reached the stage in his life where he has settled down some. He looked great and was happy to see all of us and was especially glad to see his mom. I am really glad to welcome home my cousin and thank him and all the others who serve their country in these dangerous times!

An Awesome Website

One site that I really have taken a liking too is one called Purina Animal All Stars which can be found on Yahoo Video. They have many funny animal videos you can watch for free. I really thought that some of these videos were very well produced and most have some kind of music to accompany it. There are a wide variety of animals including nearly every type you can think of.

I saw one video today where a baby squirrel was trying to follow his mother over a wall that was too high for him. Some people helped out the squirrel by placing a backpack against the wall so the baby could reach the top. It was a pretty good video and I enjoyed it immensely. Anyone who loves animals should take some time to check out this site!
