Black Gold

It seems there is a lot going on with oil production these days. The major countries of the world are all trying to secure as much oil production as possible. In recent months, China has made some big moves in this direction. They recently bought nearly half of Singapore petroleum Co in a move to secure their resources. This comes on the heels of a major deal with the Brazilian government and the Venezuelans.

It seems that with all the talk about going green, the major players of the world are hedging their bets. Oil will still be a major factor in energy for many years to come. I hope that all the worlds’ countries will try to lessen their dependence on oil and become more reliant on cleaner energy sources.

Back on Track!!

The people who work in my office are a pretty tight knit group. That’s why we were all surprised to find that one of our employees named Mike had a problem. Mike had recently had some medical problems and was on prescription medications for an extended period of time. The problem was that when his prescriptions ran out, he kept on taking the medications. Once his family found out the extent of the situation, they decided to find help and searched for a solution.

The company I work for is very understanding about such matters and decided to give Mike some time off to attend a Drug Treatment Center. We all knew that the situation had gotten out of hand and that professional help was needed. To his credit, Mike recognized that he had a problem and was willing to undergo Drug Treatment to help him with the problem.

I am happy to report that Mike is now back at work and doing well. Thanks to the strong family support he received as well as the backing of our company, Mike was able to take advantage of the Drug Rehabilitation program that he enrolled in. we are all glad to have him back and we are confident that he will continue to thrive and grow as an employee and a human being.

Driving Safely

Since the roads seem to be more dangerous than ever, I thought I would share some of the safe driving tips I found. I hope that people will realize that thousands of Americans are killed each year in auto accidents. Driving is usually taken for granted and no one expects the worst, but an accident can happen at any time and it is wise to try to prevent if possible.

One tactic for safe driving is to keep your eyes on the road. I know this may sound silly, but many times people are distracted by cell phones or others in the car. Another tip is to know what’s happening behind you. An ambulance or fire truck coming from behind can put you in jeopardy. Always use your turn signals and be careful when you pass another vehicle. Do not ride in a trucks blind spot! I hope you will find these tips helpful and take care to prevent accidents from happening!

Roads and Rubber

Recently my next door neighbor came by and asked if I could look after their house while they went on vacation. I was more than happy to do so and away they went. A week later they came back and told me all about their trip. It turns out that they went pa rv camping. Another words, they had a great time. They told me about the many things they did while they were there.

They told me about the time they spent together while driving to the campground. Their schedules are very busy and family time is hard to come by. That’s a big reason why they thought that gettysburg camping would be a good way to catch up with one another. They went hiking on the Appalachian Trail and also visited Hershey Pennsylvania, the well known chocolate making city.

Now that their motor home was parked back in their driveway, the family looked calm and relaxed. It gave me the idea that maybe our family should take advantage of rv camping gettysburg and have the same experience as they did. I’m going to run the idea past the wife and kids and I’m sure they will be thrilled to know we are going on the road.
