The Mechanics of Economics
Even though our country has been hit hard by the recent recession, there have been industries that have been booming. Many businesses that cater to low end customers have had a recent boom as people are trying to save every penny they can. Recent higher sales of macaroni and cheese represent a trend where people are searching for ways to cut their food costs.
There are many other industries that are benefiting in this period of economic uncertainty. Sales of gold coins have increased as well as other staples of security such as guns. I certainly hope that these companies continue to carry the economy until the big institutions can make a comeback. The lesson to learn here is that when someone loses, someone else wins!
