Love and Marriage

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Over the last decade or two, one of the growing hot button issues has been the gay marriage laws. While many states have banned these same sex marriages, other states are still battle grounds for the issue. After the recent California Supreme Court ruled to uphold the gay marriage ban known as prop 8, the fight will seemingly continue. Both sides are gearing up for more battles in the future.

My personal opinion in this matter is hard to define. After much reflection, I think I would vote against it. While I hold no animosity towards gays, I feel that these marriages are not appropriate. There is a natural order in life and I believe that this is one instance of going to far. I hope that however you may feel about the subject, you will respect my opinion as I will respect yours.

North Korea and Nukes

Monday, June 1st, 2009

The country of North Korea continues to defy the world and is carrying out nuclear testing. Recently, Russia confirmed an underground nuclear test by the North Korean government. Many world leaders have protested this action and worry for the continuing safety of surrounding countries due to North Korean long range missile testing.

The U.N. Security Council has passed resolutions barring these tests and is concerned about North Koreas continuing defiance. Talks with North Korea continue, but have largely broken down. This crisis is a real concern for all people who worry about the implications of a rouge nation armed with nuclear firepower. I hope that some agreement can be reached with this once great nation.

The best Chat Lines!!

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Being as that I am a very outgoing person, I love to talk with other people. One of the best ways to do that is to use a chat line. A chat line allows you to meet others via the telephone and to make new friends; recently, I was able to take advantage of a Fort Worth chat line to get to know people in that area. When I visited the great state of Michigan, I had the option of meeting people with similar interest as me when I employed a Detroit chat line service. I met some of the most intriguing people who broadened my outlook on life.

As you may know, I recently took a trip to one of the greatest cities in the world, that’s where I really hit it big and discovered someone who understood everything I said! When I go back, I will be sure to use the Las Vegas chat line in order to repeat that experience! I understand that some people may feel that these chat lines are a ploy to take your money, but my experience has been that I have always gained a great deal by using their service. It’s fun and easy, and it doesn’t cost a lot. I hope that I will be able to meet you one day and we can talk all night!

On Top of Things

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Being as that climate change has become a major issue; people are coming up with new and innovative ways to combat it. One of the ways being talked about lately is painting the roofs of homes white. Experts agree that repainting roofs and changing the color of streets from black to concrete would reflect much of the suns light back into the atmosphere. This would lead to a reduction of global warming.

I like the idea and applaud the state of California for making it a law. All new homes with flat roofs are now required to be painted white. I certainly hope that other states will follow suit and pass a similar law. Humans must be willing to make simple changes in order to keep our planet healthy. I hope that everyone will join with me and pressure their local representatives to make this a reality!
