A Sign of Life

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

One thing we have learned around our office is the value of advertising. One of the best ways to do that is by taking advantage of signs. They are easy to have made and easy to put up. They usually last for a long time after they are installed. It’s amazing how many people become aware of our business by simply seeing one of our signs.

Another good way to get your name out in the public eye is by the use of mobile advertising. You see them every day; I am talking about bumper stickers. In every case, whoever is driving behind you is going to notice yours. They are easily made and affordable, especially if you purchase your Bumper Stickers at BuildASign. They are a reputable company and they are the ones we use when we need to have some made. It’s a cheap easy way to gain visibility for your company.

The hair cut!

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

I have been so busy lately that I got behind on my usual monthly haircut. As I was out and about the other day and noticed the hair salon was empty, I decided to drop in and get a cut while there was no line. That part worked out fine and I was able to get in the chair right away! The bad part was the cut itself!

This girl really did a poor job on my cut. I don’t know if she is just starting out or if she is just a lousy hair cutter, but I was not happy with the results of her work. The only good thing is the knowledge that my hair will grow back soon and I’ll be able to go somewhere else for my next cut!!

Working from Home

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

There are many times when I need to get stuff done at the office, but may not have time to do it all. Since I am a responsible employee, I feel obligated to work at home at times. In order to do this, I need files on my computer at work to be available to me. This is made possible by the use of a technology called remote access. By using this technology, I can access my computer at work from my computer at home. It’s easy to do and is very fast.

The best part about the whole thing is that it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. I use a service I found at remotepc.com. Their prices are low, their service is good, and they have a very fast connection time. With all these features, it’s no wonder I don’t mind doing a little extra work at home!

Were rooting for you!

I just wanted to let everyone know that my friend Jake is getting out of the hospital today. He had a serious bout with his epilepsy, but is doing better now. Jake has had this illness for most of his life and has done well to learn how to cope with it, but sometimes it gets the best of him. I know that he has had a lot of support from his family and all the people he knows as well. I’ll be glad to see him back in the office!
