Money made easy

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

The whole family was saddened by the news that grandma had died. We were able to take some solace from the fact that she had a long and happy life. Grandpa died about eight years ago and grandma had been living alone in Florida. I had to go down there to take care of getting her place cleaned out and putting everything into order. That’s when I discovered something I had not known about.

Over the years, grandma had collected a wide variety of jewelry. Since the bulk of it was outdated, no one really wanted it. Since I didn’t know what else to do with it, I decided to take it all to a Pawn Shop. That way I could get some money for all that she had. Many of her rings and necklaces were made of gold. I knew that I would be able to Sell Gold For Cash and that’s just what I did.

After all was said and done, I ended up with a substantial amount of money for the lot. It was easy to do and I felt like I received a square deal. I was happy to give everyone a share of the cash I had gotten and many people were surprised at how much it was. I am sure that grandma would be happy to know that her things were put to good use and that the people she loved benefitted from it!

Working for it

When I was a young boy, we were worked hard by my father. No manner of whining would get us out of the hard labor he had in mind. Every day we had new chores and if he felt that we didn’t have enough to do, he would make something up. Although I must admit that we hated it at the time, a lot of good came from it.

Now that I am all grown up, I feel thankful that dad taught us a good work ethic. I try to instill the same principles into my children and I believe it is working. My children do not need to be told twice to do something as they know it will do no good to argue. I hope that every parent is as lucky as I.
