Unemployment

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

The number of people who are still unemployed is extremely high. This high number has hurt the progress of the recovery act. There needs to be a way to regain some of the jobs that have been lost. I hope someone is working on it!

With so many jobs going overseas, it’s no wonder that we are short on jobs for Americans. I think the emphasis should be on recovering the jobs that were lost to other countries. Allowing the big corporations to ship the jobs has caused a lot of harm to the American job market. I hope the Obama administration will address the issue.

Helping the kids

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

One thing I like to do is to make sure that the kids do their homework. I think that education is a very important part of life. I know that it can be hard for kids nowadays as they are under a lot more pressure to succeed than we were. That’s why I decided to get my kids the help they need in mathematics. I had to think outside of the box to get them the Algebra help they needed. I was glad to find a way to help them.

When my son brought home his algebra book, it didn’t take long for me to realize that I could not help him. It’s been such a long time since I did any serious math that I had forgotten whatever I knew about it. That’s why I went online and found a site that could help. It’s called tutorvista.com and they are great. They provided the Algebra tutoring he needed. They gave him one on one instruction and got him through his course.

There are many advantages to having an Online algebra tutor. They are able to work with the student at his/her pace. They also are knowledgeable on a wide variety of questions. I was glad to find that I didn’t have to worry about my sons grades any longer. I was also glad I didn’t have to work through the many algebra questions he had. This is a pretty good website and I’m happy to recommend it!

The Debate!!

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

The Obama administration has been pushing for a health care package to be completed by August. This deadline is in jeopardy. With republicans in the house and senate pushing against the bill, their stalling tactics have slowed down progress. As of now, no one knows when the bill will be completed.

I think it is a sad day when people block progress for the sole reason of political gains. There are millions of people in need of health care and the government should provide it for them. I hope that the republicans will get their act together and get with the program!
