Nothing but the best

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

Since my daughter is expecting soon, the whole house has been in a buzz. One of the areas where we are well prepared is in maternity clothes. We were lucky to find a site on the internet that makes it easy to purchase the trendiest clothes. The site is called kikisfashions.com and it’s one of my favorites. It’s rare when you run across a very well laid out site.

There are many advantages to shopping online. The prices are often lower than you can find in the stores and the selection of products is usually wider. This site has another feature I like. In order to receive 20% off, you can use the “blog friend’s coupon code”. That makes shopping on this site even more attractive. I hope that everybody who plans to have children will take a minute and check out this site!

The Heat

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

The last week or two has been HOT!! The weather has been clear, but hot. I wanted to mow my lawn but as soon as got outside, I started to sweat. I was only out for a little while when I had to come in. I guess I’ll wait until night when it’s a little cooler. It’s no big deal as the grass is not that high anyway.

I think the thing to do is to find some inside work that needs doing. Maybe I’ll clean up for awhile until the heat dies down. The bad part is that I can’t help but think about how high my electric bill is going to be!

Our Shows

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

With the tough economic times, our office has been looking for new ways to pick up business. One of the measures we have taken is to make a showing at some of the regional trade shows. We felt that by increasing the visibility of our image, we would be more recognizable to the public. That’s why we have developed an interest in having our own trade show booths to set up at these events. Once that was decided, we knew we had to have a quality booth that was portable.

Since we attend different types of shows, we thought that having different types of displays would be sensible. One type of display we have is called banner stands. The good thing about them is that you can print whatever you want on them; such as a logo. Another benefit is that they are lightweight and easy to set up. They have become an important part of our displays.

We also have another option for our shows. Sometimes we need to partition a space so as to have our own area. We have found a system called Pipe and Drape that works well in this capacity. These are also easy to set up as no tools are needed. We can also vary the size of our booth to the space we have. All in all, the trade shows have paid off in getting us noticed by our customers. We have had many positive comments about our displays and are hoping to expand into more areas soon.

Hello or Goodbye?

We’ve all been hearing a lot about the upcoming resignation of Alaska’s governor Sarah Palin. She is scheduled to resign this Sunday. What has everyone intrigued is what she will do next. She has been vague about her plans for what the future holds. There is much speculation that she may be planning a run for the presidency in 2012.

One thing is for sure, she will keep busy until then. She has plans to write a book and is engaging in a speaking tour. We also expect to see her on the morning talk shows from time to time. There are many people waiting to find out what she will do next. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
