Buying and Selling

Friday, July 31st, 2009

As I am always interested in what goes on in my industry, I’ve had my eye on a financial deal. It seems that a friend of mine’s company is being sold to a larger one. The March Group is spearheading the deal and will lead the two companies together. Over the years I’ve heard a lot about this group and the services they provide. They not only sell many businesses, they also help find the financing as well.

Since they have been in business for so long, they have a wealth of experience. They have all the contacts throughout the world that you would expect in order to complete the deals they make. They also provide a list of companies that are for sale and can customize your list for you. It sounds as if they do it all.

I went online in order to find out more information about the company. They have a site called corporations4sale.com that you can check out. I learned a lot by looking through the site and was very interested in all the information it had. It’s always good to keep abreast of the happenings in your industry. I think you should check it out when you get a chance.

In the news today was an article about a student who illegally downloaded and shared songs. He was ordered to pay $675,000 dollars to a number of different record labels. Joel Tenenbaum admitted that he had shared the songs with other students. The music industry is working with internet provides to crack down on people who abuse the system.

The court battles will rage on as each side defends its position. The music industry will continue to prosecute offenders for the time being and music lovers will have to be a little more careful in the future.

Need a Host?

Friday, July 31st, 2009

I have run across many people who want to start their own websites. Whether it is a business venture or just for fun, they all have one thing in common. They need the best webhost for their individual purposes. Nowadays, you can’t be too careful; there are many services out there that will take advantage of you if you don’t know what you are doing. I have found a way to help eliminate the risk.

I found a site called webhostinggeeks.com that reviews the various webhosting services and rates them in several ways. By narrowing the field, they can help you decided which of these services is right for you. I trust these people and feel that they know what they are doing; after all, they are geeks. I think that says it all.

I also like the fact that this site has a news section that provides the latest news about the various goings on in the business. . This is an excellent place to learn more for those who are seriously interested in webhosting services. I hope that anyone who is considering starting a webpage will take a little time to check out this site. It might save you some time, money, and aggravation.

A little control

Friday, July 31st, 2009

I was reading about California’s governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s bid to reduce pensions for state workers. I think it’s high time that somebody took a stand to reduce the money flowing out of the system. The liabilities incurred by the state are draining the coffers and leaving the state in a financial mess.

It’s no wonder that the move is opposed by the unions. It is known that many workers can retire at the age of 55. This is far too early in my opinion and has led to the state’s economic downfall. I hope these unions will realize they are driving the costs of doing business up far too high.
