Plastics

Many plastics are marked as Microwave safe. This is not necessarily the case. This term is not regulated by the government and can lead people to believe that it is safe to use plastics in the microwave. This may not be so. It turns out that most plastics release Bisphenol A which can cause development problems in children. To be on the safe side, scientists recommend that people use glass or ceramics to heat their food on.

Math and Me

Since my daughter is almost ready to graduate from college, I thought I would let everyone know about a great site called coursehero.com. This site is built by students to help other students in thier studies. I was always good in math myself, but I must admit that the homework students get nowadays is a little over my head. That’s why my daughter Lisa uses this site so much.

One of the keys to becoming a good mathematician is to do your homework. There are times however when you become stuck on a problem. Since I could not help her, she had to turn to other areas to get the answers she needed. This is when this site paid off. She found that by looking at the Math Textbook Answer, she could figure out the problems. This was a very helpful feature of the site.

She was able to take advantage of the knowledge of thousands of other students, teachers, and self learners to instruct her in the theory of mathematical problems. Recently, she used this site to help her pass her Math Exam. It was critical that she passed it and she came through with flying colors. I was very proud of the way that she used the resources available to her to pass her exam.
