I remember growing talking with my girlfriend on the phone. The bad part was that the only phone we had was in the kitchen which didn’t have much privacy. I was also forced to walk around and talk as the cord would only reach so far. I wish my kids could have a few days of living like that to show them how lucky they are!

My kids live and die by their phones and are always bugging me to get them the latest Cell phones. It seems that phones are sort of like clothes and are always going out of fashion. My daughter wouldn’t be caught dead with anything other than a blackberry phone. All her friends have them and she has to have one too.

Since I was destined to buy her a phone, I decided that I would go all out and get her the Cell phone accessories she wanted. She wanted a case and it had to be purple or else she might die. I also got her a charger so she could charge her phone in the car. I’ll be glad when she can afford her own phone and then she can have whatever she wants!

One of the best times to get great deals at the stores is on Labor Day weekend. The stores are trying to unload a years worth of inventory and will give steep discounts to do so. Everything from summer clothes to lawn chairs will be on sale during the holiday and can be picked up at a great price.

I know that my wife always comes home from her Labor Day weekend shopping spree with an untold amount of items. She loves to shop and this is a great time for it. I guess I’ll have to foot the bill for it all, but at least I’ll save a few bucks while I’m at it!

I was talking with a neighbor of mine that is getting ready to move. He has landed a new job in California and will be leaving soon. His family is excited about the move and all are looking forward to being in the great weather. One of the problems that he had was how to move everything he owned. He has three cars and a pick-up truck that would have to be moved to California.

To drive each car to his new home would be impractical. That’s why he decided to look into an Auto Transport company that could do it for him. He thought that by taking advantage of one of these companies, he could save a lot of time and money. I had heard about companies that were experts in Auto Shipping. They will haul your car to wherever you want without a lot of hassle.

Now that this problem was taken care of, he was able to concentrate on other things. He still had a house full of stuff to move. They had been living there for many years and had accumulated many things. I guess he will have to spend more that a few nights packing!

There is an interesting new law in Texas that has some people in line to receive a lot of money. It seems that there are a number of inmates who will be released from jail after being cleared by DNA evidence. The new law will reimburse these people to the tune of 80,000 dollars a year.

This amount will soon help some recently cleared inmates to become millionaires. The inmates are happy to receive the money, but many are just happy to have their names cleared from these horrific crimes. It’s hard to imagine the nightmare that would result from spending so much time behind bars for being wrongly convicted!

One thing we have really focused on this year is to ensure that our house is looking as good as possible. When we bought the house it is was in pretty bad condition. Everything was either broke or in need of repair. The doors and windows were especially bad. After a close inspection, we saw they had to go. That’s why we decided to go the extra mile and really make some changes.

One of the first things we did was to replace our patio door . The lock did not work well and the glass was not the best. The cold air seemed to come right through into the living room. This made it uncomfortable to sit in the room as well as wasting a lot of heat. That added up to a big heating bill.

Since we had gone so far, we decided to go a little further. We looked into having replacement windows installed. There were many good reasons for doing so. The best was the new look our house would have. The next best reason was for the savings we would have on our heating and cooling bills. I am glad to be able to help the environment by using less energy to heat our home.
