Pakistan is moving

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

I was glad to read the news and find that Pakistan’s army is moving forward to fight the militant Taliban. Their offensive has been going on for over eight days and they are making advances into the territories held by Taliban leaders. I know the U.S. government is happy about the move as it will take some of the pressure off our troops. I hope the government of Pakistan will continue to pressure the Taliban until it is reduced to nothing!

Be Ready

In my line of work, you must be ready to travel constantly. Over the last several years, I have been able to travel up and down the East coast to nearly every destination there is. There are always a few places that end up standing out above all the rest. One of these places is the Myrtle Beach Resorts that I have been to many times. I have found them to be one of the best places to do business and relax at the same time.

There are other benefits to visiting a Myrtle Beach Resort. They have many different places to choose from including some new ones that are just opening. Every one of the resorts is awesome in its own way. They all are near the shore and are also close to the many other attractions such as golf and shopping.

Whenever I see that the future is going to bring a trip, I always hope that it will be to one of the Myrtle Beach Hotels. I know that I’ll be able to relax as well as get my work done. I am also thinking about bringing the kids the next time I come so that the whole family can enjoy the experience. I know they will love it as much as I do.

The United Nations

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

One thing that is always in the background of our daily lives is the United Nations. We hear about it all the time and the good work it does. The thing we never hear about is that there are many countries that haven’t paid their dues. It turns out that only about 11% of the countries in the U.N. are paid up.

The worst news is that the United States is one of the countries that still owes money to them. I know that we pay more than nearly every country, but we still should pay the money we owe. I hope that our government will stand up for what is right and make good on the promises we made. The world needs the benefits of this great institution.

Excitement

We recently had some action around our neighborhood lately. It seems that my neighbor’s child was misbehaving and he beat her. The problem was that she called the police. The next problem was that the police actually arrested my friend. The whole neighborhood is up in arms about the ordeal and everyone is hoping the case will be dropped.

The first thing I did was to tell him to ensure that his rights were not violated. I advised him to call one of the Ventura Criminal Defense Lawyers that are available. I felt that having legal representation would be the wisest course for him. There have been cases when a simple case like this can get out of hand.

I know my friend is a decent man. He would never really hurt the child and is always looking out for her. The police always seem to escalate the situation and are not always well trained. I hope the whole thing will be resolved soon and we can all go back to worrying about our lawns!

Nukes

Monday, October 19th, 2009

One thing that has come to light lately is President Obama’s involvement in talks with the Iranians and their stockpile of low-enriched uranium. Sources have pointed out that the president has had personal talks with leaders of Iran about the matter. The question is whether he will be able to convince them to slow or halt their production of nuclear bombs.

The president has been working with other countries including Russia and France in order to achieve his goal. I am sure hoping that he will be able to deal with the threat in an orderly way. I wish him the best and am whole heartedly behind him!
