Excitement

We recently had some action around our neighborhood lately. It seems that my neighbor’s child was misbehaving and he beat her. The problem was that she called the police. The next problem was that the police actually arrested my friend. The whole neighborhood is up in arms about the ordeal and everyone is hoping the case will be dropped.

The first thing I did was to tell him to ensure that his rights were not violated. I advised him to call one of the Ventura Criminal Defense Lawyers that are available. I felt that having legal representation would be the wisest course for him. There have been cases when a simple case like this can get out of hand.

I know my friend is a decent man. He would never really hurt the child and is always looking out for her. The police always seem to escalate the situation and are not always well trained. I hope the whole thing will be resolved soon and we can all go back to worrying about our lawns!

Nukes

One thing that has come to light lately is President Obama’s involvement in talks with the Iranians and their stockpile of low-enriched uranium. Sources have pointed out that the president has had personal talks with leaders of Iran about the matter. The question is whether he will be able to convince them to slow or halt their production of nuclear bombs.

The president has been working with other countries including Russia and France in order to achieve his goal. I am sure hoping that he will be able to deal with the threat in an orderly way. I wish him the best and am whole heartedly behind him!

Friends and envy

My family and I love to travel. We are always looking for new and interesting things to do and see. I heard about something that I thought would be great fun. That was, swimming with dolphins. As soon as I heard it, I knew it was for us. It turns out that this is not as hard to do as you may think. There are places where this can be done easily.

I told my children about it and they were all for it. They thought it would be great fun and wanted to do it right away. I know that they love the outdoors and all the animals that are in it. They all can swim and love to play in the water as well. When I told them they could swim with dolphins in Mexico, they all wanted to go.

I was also surprised to learn that there are many benefits to this type of action. Being close to a wild animal can help children learn about nature from the animal’s point of view. Another good thing about it is that they will be the envy of all their friends when they show off the many pictures I am sure they will take.

Thanks a lot China

One thing that I have heard a lot about lately is Chinese drywall. It seems that the Chinese decided it would be nice to send us defective drywall that contains sulfuric fumes that corrodes pipes. This has caused numerous homeowners many headaches when dealing with insurance companies.

The problem is that when a homeowner contacts their insurance company about the problem, oftentimes they are dropped immediately. The worst part is that is all legal. There are also estimates that say that there could be as much as 500 million pounds of tainted drywall that was imported. The government says it is investigating the problem, but it once again, it’s too little too late!
