Since we have had some new additions to our family, there has been a lot of discussion about how to care for babies. One issue that came up was about Baby Carriers. We wanted to know how to figure out which ones were right for our kids. It turns out that there are a number of factors to consider when selecting a carrier. I will list some of the major concern
The age and weight of the baby is an important fact to consider. Make sure your carrier is designed for the child who will ride in it. Should the child face forward or backward is another option to consider. Carrier safety is a big issue and people should keep informed about the carrier they have as sometimes issues are raised and recalls are necessary.
All this information led us to our next concern which was How babys communicate. Of course their cries are the number one ways in which they get attention. It’s their best option of letting us know when they are hungry or hurt. It’s important to pay attention to your baby’s unique way of communication. Parenthood can be difficult at times, but those people who consider their baby’s comfort and safety will be richly rewarded by their loving children.

It seems that everyone in the house is getting that old camping bug. Since the weather is getting warmer. The kids are itching to go on our annual camping trip. Our only problem seems to be deciding where to go. I always like going to the woods, but the kids usually want to go to the beach.
Maybe we can find somewhere that is a little of both. I guess time will tell. Anyway I hope to see you there.

Saint Patrick’s Day is a pretty good holiday. It is one of the few holidays that have a parade. We were able to round up a bunch of people and we all went as a group. It was a fantastic time for all. The kids were excited as well as the adults.
After the parade was over (it was very good) we all went to a local park and had a huge cookout. We were able to secure the last open grill and we had plenty to eat. I am sure that we will all remember this day for a long time.

Last weekend my husband Carl and I went to pick up our grandkids after picking up his new hearing aid from hearingaids.Miracle-Ear.com. We got to our daughter’s house, swooped up the kids and took them to the North Carolina State Fair. My son in law has to go on a business trip, and my daughter is going with him to get away. We love taking the grandkids, and we hope that she can get a little rest.
We figured that the fair would have a ton of fun things for us to do. There are chances to win prizes, go on exciting rides, and we will surely get the kids a treat or too. After all, it wouldn’t be the fair if you couldn’t get a little junk food. We’ll just have to keep it a secret from our daughter. She hates it when we spoil the kids, but what can we say, we’re grandparents. It should really be a good time, I’m just glad to have the kids for a weekend.

I love to fish and its usually by myself. I usually go every other weekend. I pack my stuff the night before and all I have to do is get dressed and start planning Home Security. It is very relaxing after a week of working. My job is stressful and it feels good to go fishing on the weekends. I started taking my son with me last week. He had never really fished much before. I set his fishing pole up and we were fishing on my boat. It was hard for him to leave the line still, so we started fishing for bass. He reeled the line in several times, and did not even really know what it felt like to have a bite. Once he reeled in the line and the pole started tugging. He did not know what to do. I helped him reel it in and it took some work. He had a very small fishing pole made for kids. The bass he caught was 15 inches long. That was on his first time ever trying to fish. He was so excited to take that fish home to mom. She cooked it up for him, and he was very proud of the fact that he brought home dinner for the family. I can not wait to see what he will catch next time.
