One last blast

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

It’s been a long hot summer and my family is happy that it’s almost over. We are all ready for the cooler weather to take over. But after thinking about it, we all decided that we wanted to take one last vacation before that happens. You know; a one last blast kind of thing. Since we had all enjoyed our last trip to a Myrtle Beach Resort, we thought we would return there for our trip.

As I was searching online to find out what options we had, I found that there were many Myrtle Beach Resorts to choose from. One of the newest ones was called the Avista Resort that looked like the best. The building was really interesting and the grounds around it were nice as well. I also knew that there would be plenty of things for everyone to do when we got there.

We have visited the area before and have always counted on the fact that we would receive great service during our trip. No matter which of the Myrtle Beach Hotels you visit, you can’t go wrong. Everyone is excited about the trip and I am sure that we will have plenty of pictures to share when we get back. The only thing left to do after that will be to start planning our winter trip!

One last time

Since the winter is getting ready to set in, I thought that I would take my family out for one last camping trip before it gets too cold. I asked the kids about it and they were all for going to a pa rv camping facility. We have enjoyed these trips before and they have become one of our favorites. There are many things to do and everyone always seems to have a great time.

The best part about going to one of the pennsylvania RV Parks is that you always seem to meet someone new and interesting. You never know who you will be camping with and it’s always a neat surprise. We have met many families just like ours who enjoy the outdoors and take advantage of the hiking and other camping activities.

The best part about gettysburg camping is the history that surrounds you. No matter where you go, there is always something new and interesting to learn from. We like the feeling of getting away from the daily grind of life and spending time together as a family. I think it sure would be neat if we met you while enjoying ourselves there. I hope to see you soon!

Differences

Since we always stay in touch with our relatives “across the pond”, we often become aware of different views on life. Our family has deep roots on the continent and we enjoy finding out about how they live. One of the major differences between America and Europe is travel. They are much more reliant on trains to get around. This is very different than here.

My cousin Pearl lives in the UK. One of the benefits she enjoys is the ability to travel to Paris quickly and efficiently. She can leave on a Friday and have a wonderful weekend break in Paris. She told me that she takes advantage of a service called Eurostar city breaks that makes it easy. They have numerous departure times that can fit your schedule and a fast check-in time that makes it convenient.

Pearl told me that she used to have to fly to get to Paris. When flying, there are many delays that can be inconvenient. It can also be difficult to find parking. This is no longer the case. She can just jump on eurostar and be there so fast it’s unbelievable. She also said that she doesn’t have to sacrifice her comfort on the way. The seats are comfortable and there are refreshments available. She has also met some wonderful people in her travels.

The best part about the whole thing is that Pearl is not limited to Paris. She can take a eurostar break to many different locations. There are dozens of places she likes to shop at and she can take advantage of them all. She likes the big city as well as the small towns. All in all, she is very happy to have such a service to provide for her needs. I sure wish that America would catch up with Europe in this respect!

A Trip for us all

I have been thinking about taking my family on a trip. I was unsure where we would go until I remembered my friend had just gone on a trip of his own. After talking with him, I decided to look into Alaskan cruises . I thought it would be a great way for the family to spend some time together. After I looked into the situation more seriously, I knew I had been right.

I talked to my friend and he described a site that would help me a lot. He steered me to a site called cruiselocators.com. This site is where I was able to book the trip and start us on our way. The best part was that I was able to find exclusive deals that I hadn’t found anywhere else. The price was more that acceptable and the service was great.

After I told my family that we were going to Alaska, they were all ready to go. The kids were really happy to find that we were going to a place that they had seen many TV shows about. My wife had been to Alaska before and she was happy to know that she would be going back. I have never been there, but I am looking forward to the opportunity.
